Annual Report and Accounts

The Department’s Resource Accounts record both the financial situation and the performance of the Department over the last financial year. The accounts are published in July.

In addition to the Consolidated Resource Accounts, the Accounts also contain the following information about the Department:

  1. Performance data tables, covering all performance indicators and value for money programme target
  2. Reports on outstanding PAC recommendations
  3. Any complaints to the Parliamentary Ombudsman
  4. Information on the Department’s management, governance and structure.

The maintenance and integrity of the Department’s website is the responsibility of the Accounting Officer. The work carried out by the auditors does not involve consideration of these matters and accordingly the auditors accept no responsibility for any changes that may have occurred to the financial statements since they were initially presented on the website.
