Powering our lives - Wednesday 26 November 2008
Powering Our Lives: Sustainable Energy Management and the Built Environment has examined how the development of UK society over the next 50 years could shape the built environment to low carbon energy systems. The energy used to power buildings is responsible for over 50 per cent of UK carbon emissions. The report argues that energy use in buildings needs to be tackled now if the UK is going to meet its emission reduction target.
