How business can challenge red tape
Business is a vital partner for BIS in the fight against red tape. We need business to tell us which legislation and policies are too burdensome, too bureaucratic and too unwieldy – those which sound like a good idea but simply don’t work out in the real world.
There are many ways in which business can get involved:
-
Speak to your trade association. We are in frequent contact with major trade associations.
Speak to your contacts in BIS, including your Business Relations contacts.
-
Respond to consultations on BIS policy and legislation through our web page.
-
Have your say on regulations that could be removed or simplified in the
Red Tape Challenge
-
Join a sector-specific group, such as the ‘VIPER’ forum for the automotive industry or others which give business and industry a chance to discuss upcoming regulatory developments.
-
-
Join the Small Firms Consultation Database for a chance to comment on new policies with an impact on small business.
