Broadband and super-fast connectivity
The Government is committed to ensuring that the UK has the best superfast broadband network in Europe by 2015. Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), the government team delivering this agenda, has £530 million of funding to implement this strategy.
We want communities, represented by bodies such as local authorities and LEPs, to have a say in how these broadband networks will be built. We are therefore inviting LEPs who are interested in delivering broadband in their areas to bid for funding with their Local Authority partners as it becomes available.
Guidelines on the current wave of funding can be found here:
BDUK Broadband Delivery Project
Similar funding opportunities are likely to be available in the future.
