UK Research Base

The report on International Comparative Performance of the UK Research Base: 2011 (PDF, 5.3 Mb)  was produced by Elsevier for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

The 2011 report is the first of a new biennial enquiry into the international standing of UK research. The evidence gathered for this report evaluates the effectiveness of the Science and Research Budget, currently £4.6 Billion, in achieving high international standards of research performance.
